RV4 Rudder

I have some hanger rash on an RV4 rudder and was wondering if anyone had a rudder that they would sell to me. I heard that some people had upgraded to a thicker skin on their rudders. I would be interested in either 16K skin or 20K skin rudder.

Re-skin yours

Did you build yours? None of the RV-4's have match drilled anything, and a rudder from another builder may not fit well, if at all. Not sure the extent of your damage (I have been down that road), but the new skin from Vans is not very expensive in .016 or .020. Your existing spar and upper/lower ribs could be re-used, and are already matched to your vertical hinges. Shouldn't take more than a weekend to do.
