Higher Power doors

Mike S

Senior Curmudgeon
I just finished the installation of the Higher Power hangar door, and am extremely happy with the quality of the product, the clearness and easy to understand instructions, and the function of the door.

All the parts fit exactly as they were supposed to, all prepunched holes lined up
correctly, all hydraulics and electrical stuff fitted and worked first try.

I am very happy with the product and service I received from Higher Power, and strongly recommend them to anyone considering this door.

Virtually all assembly and installation was done alone, literally only used help with measuring the diagonal lines (thanks Paul) to square the door, and Laura helped with bleeding the hydraulic lines. This is just a huge Erector set ;)----you can do it.

Here is a video of the door in action------this is the second time it was operated, so Laura is a bit excited..........

Congrats Mike! I'm sure it's a thing of beauty - verified by Laura's reaction as you say. I'm guessing it's one of those hydraulically actuated single piece doors. Should be a great sun/rain shield when open.

Correct, but only 40% or so is outside when open, the rest is inside----all the weight is on the two vertical columns at the door jams.

I added a link to the factory site if you want to see photos/video.
