Protecting rudder pedal finish ..

Hellloooooooo!
Testing
Hey all, any thoughts on protecting the rudder pedal/bar (not brake pedals, got them anodized) finish from wear?

Type III anodizing is a pretty tough finish for aluminum. Since it is a chemical conversion of the metal it won't flake off or peel. It only goes down a few mils from the surface so any deep gouges would show, but it might last for quite a long time.

I'm talking about the actual rudder bar (below the brake pedals) that's going to get all the wear ...

Looks like JDAir has some extensions, going to try those!

For rudder pedals, some appropriately sized hydraulic hose from Napa, split lengthwise. Cheap, looks good, has added benefit of keeping toes a bit further from brakes.

Or you can spend more money. :D

2 coats of PPG Concept over a good primer. 800 hours and still no wear.
(And yes, I do use my rudder pedal as more than foot rests)
