G-RRVV is now N97VV (was N713MB)

For the third time in its 11 year history RV-8 serial 82245 is certified to fly again in the USA. Dan McGehee did the DAR inspection this morning and wrote me out a new certificate and set of operating limitations. 7 weeks since getting back from the UK, but most of that delay was getting a registration certificate from the FAA. I'm looking forward to getting airborne again as soon as the insurance is active.

Perhaps the first RV that has transitioned from N to G and now back to N! Come down to so-cal soon!

Congratulations on having a certified plane again. Somewhat ironic you have to fly off some hours when this plane has flown to England and back.

Also, don't know how long it takes for the old N number to be put back in system by FAA but I hope I can use it for my next RV 8 now under construction in the basement.

No phase 1 requirement this time. I got the insurance going and gave it a blast just before sunset this evening.

N713MB is on hold until May 2018 (5 years after cancellation). Maybe you can get it reserved in the meantime. So don't rush the new RV-8 and the timing might work for you.
