Been following the posts on high chts and oil temps on other forums and couldn't resist this tid bit of RV3 info.
Yesterday it was 103 degrees and I went flying. Full power climb to 8000'
@ best rate. cht#1 390, rest at 380-385, oil temp 205. This is with a strong 0320 and a small 5 vane SW oil cooler. Plane built to Vans specs, cooling inlet area reduced about 10%. If you build your RV3 to spec I can't imagine having any cooling issues.
