Alternate induction intake

I have an IO-320 (note the 'I'). It's got the hidious backwards mixture cabling which interferes with the standard FAB.

I'm thinking about running scat from what is normally the carb-heat-air intake above the plenum directly to the intake. VFR Direct. I have three filteration options:

1 - No filter
2 - A cone filter in the plenum at the intake
3 - Remote filter box.

Any thoughts?

Bruce, Didn't know if you've seen the picture of my Ram Air setup in my -4 in the fuselage progress thread. Pretty easy to fabricate from .040. Mine is Ram inflight, pull lever, close flap, filtered on the ground. Works great...here is the picture again...

Be careful using Scat tubing for induction. There has been at least 2 accidents and 1 fatallity caused by Scat tubing collasping. Rare, but it has happened.
