Bending the stick

I saw a picture of a -4 with a double-bent stick. Before I saw it, I thought the stick was probably in an ok place, but then I saw it bent and realized mine was probably too far forward too. Anyone done it? How much is right?

Here's the picture. This one look "too bent"

Bruce, Mine is stock (straight) with the stick grip clearing the bottom of my instrument panel by 1 inch. Inflight my arm is relaxed and slightly bent. The pictured stick seems to put your hand closer to your belly inflight and awkward when doing acro, hard to say.
Since this RV4 has a lower instrument panel than mine, maybe he needed the clearance....I guess telling someone to "get bent" takes on a whole new meaning...
