"Old" Fuel Level Sender

Clouddancer

Well Known Member
Because we are transforming our left fuel tank to a flop tube configuration for aerobatic flying we have move the fuel level sender out in the second bay of the fuel tank.
We bought the RV-4 partly built and the previous builder started the project quite a few years ago. We have the "old" mechanical fuel level senders pictured below. I believe those are from Stewart Warner, but an older type as those that Vans delivers today. Would you have any objections to use those older type senders? Do you have experience with those (positive/negative)?
