P-mag auto plugs

Ben Beaird

Active Member
Has anyone with an Emag or Pmag using the auto plug harness settled on a plug style?

I will start out with Emagair's recommended "setup" plug unless current users have determined, through tests, a better alternative.

Thanks in advance,

Ngk Br8es (#5422)

I'm pretty sure EMagAir recommends the NGK BR8ES for use with their ignitions. I don't have an E/P-Mag, but I can tell you that the BR8ES plugs have been working great on my IO-360-A1B6 with Lightspeed Plasma II ignition for over 800 hours.

$1.61/ea from Rock Auto Parts. http://www.rvproject.com/pricewatch.html for the link.

I would not hesitate to use BR8ES plugs.

Ben,

I have been running NGK BR8ES plugs with my Emag for around 100 hours. Gap wear is almost negligible, performance is up to expectations. Plugs cost around $1.70 from Reilly autoparts. I don't know enough about plugs to say what benefits would be available from switching to other models.

Auto plugs

I'm using the emag/pmag with the auto harness and the plugs as Dan mentioned. Everything is working great with 44+ hours now.

The toughest part of the install is making the harnesses!!! I highly recommend the auto system.
