Paul died in a plane crash in Alaska in July, 2009. He flew over 30,000 hours serving in the Air Force and as a Captain at UAL. He was also an instructor and ferry pilot who flew all over the country and Alaska to pick up and deliver aircraft. Paul had many friends in the flying community and could always be depended upon to help anyone out with AC construction issues or a bi-annual review. He helped me fly my RV from Wichita to my home in Santa Rosa. Paul and a flight instructor from Oklahoma both perished in his Zenith STOL 701 after a taking off from a lake near Wasilla, Ak. and subsequent crash landing on a road near the lake. There was a memorial service in Santa Rosa, CA, at the EAA 124 chapter at KSTS.
