Rear seat rudder

Today I have been trying to install the rear seat rudder kit in my 8A. So far things are not going well. The second paragraph of step two of the instructions states " -no preparation other than possibly reaming holes so bolts can be installed easily." I don't see this happening. It looks to me that the WD-833 idler bracket needs to be totally remade. It does not line up to anything at anytime in it's current state. Has anybody else run into similar fit issues?

I had to tweak both the brackets & the idler arms to get them to fit in my 8A.

The brackets needed to be bent down slightly along the line of the longeron to get the upper hole to line up with the lower bracket hole.

I had to grind a bit - about 1/8" off the bottom of the arm pivot tube so it would swing clear of the console rib. Packed the top gap with a couple of washers.
