EAA Chapter 344 Helena, Montana

EAA Chapter 344 meeting will be held at Morrison Park with a free ?cook out?, (Hamburgers). The date is Saturday, May 16th and the time is from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Also, this will include our membership drive so bring someone who is interested in learning how to fly, build, antique aircraft, restoring aircraft, or just aviation.

For those not familiar with Morrison Park, it is on Airport Road just past the Vo-Tech and before the large hangar on the left side of the road. A driveway brings you to the West T hangar entrance and parking lot.

Chapter dues for 2009 are due at this time. Your dues help us to keep things going to promote all aspects of aviation. And, for our stimulus package this year, dues have been reduced to $10.00 for the year May 2009 to May 2010.

EAA has a new membership drive going on. The incentive is a FREE six month membership with EAA. They will provide a new member with an EAA member number, a monthly magazine of their choice, and all of the privileges of a regular member for six months. At or near the end of the six months period, EAA will contact the individual to determine if they wish to continue. The only thing we have to do is bring a new member on board and sign them up. EAA headquarters will do the rest. Also, for new members, the Chapter will provide the same free six months membership. This is a great opportunity to get boys and girls, men and women, young and or not so young, interested in flying, building or just supporting general aviation.

Also, we would like to extend an invitation to this meeting to members of other aviation organizations, Montana Pilots Association, AOPA, Antique Aircraft, Ultra-light, etc. All that is necessary is an interest in aviation, so bring or invite someone to attend.

The air show is scheduled for June 27th and 28th. We would like to have a display at the National Guard ramp to promote not only EAA but general aviation as well. Hope to have more information on this at the meeting on the 16th.

So be sure and attend on the 16th and bring a guest.
