I've just started using a 2m Stealth Antenna and it seems to work well. The antenna is mounted on the underside of the fuselage..

Very impressive, Michael. I looked at that antenna early last year but passed due to the price compared to my custom-built whip antenna. ;)

Did you have to purchase a mount? Where did you purchase the antenna? I found it here for $36.95 which is about 1/2 list price:

Thanks for the info!

Antenna

I bought the antenna over a year ago (Nov07) from Henry Radio for $39 and the NMO mount was another $10. The mount came with 10-15 feet of Coax. Checked the SWR for the 2m band and it is below 1.5:1. I'm very happy so far.

It is amazing what a little altitude will give you in reception. I thought my MT8K was having problems since I wasn't being picked up in the car...even with a high gain antenna. But the aircraft track shows the unit is working just fine!
