Interior painting

Does anyone have advice regarding when in the building process is best to paint the interior of the plane? Are people generally waiting until near the very end to paint the interior, or are you painting with the final top coat while assembling the interior pieces (seats, floors, tunnel covers, etc.)? I am a novice at painting, to say the least, so any input would be appreciated.
