Elder Airplane Thoughts

Yes I agree...the RV12 is an elder airplane. Now that I am retired I don't use airplanes to meet time schedules anymore. When I worked I had to have a fast, all-weather airplane to be able to get back to work after vacation. Or to get the kids back to college for the next semester. Flying like that is challenging, stimulating and expensive. Now i'm older and enjoy different challenges (like airplane building). I'm also amazed how wonderful life can be when you are not controlled by time demands. I can now fly at whatever speed on whatever day I desire. I still have a medical but i will no doub be losing it sooner than my neighbor the 40 year old. In fact once I finish the 12 I don't see any point in even paying to carry one. We are the baby boomers and as usual 12 million of us are all into the same thing at the same time. Look for lots of RV12's...as we all slow down.
