Aircraft-Specific ARPS Tracking Site

Well Known Member
I'd like to welcome anyone with an interest in APRS to use this simple and straightforward Google map APRS tracking site I put together: http://www.mail2600.com/cgi-bin/everyone.cgi In the interest of reducing visual clutter and simplifying the user interface, this site doesn't cover all APRS trackers -- only those that have expressed an interest. (There isn't enough airplane activity so I let my ham buddies with ground vehicle trackers in too <g>)

If you Email me with your callsign or N-number (whichever you programmed in your tracker) I'll add your station to the filtered feed so your flights can also be displayed. See this FAQ item (http://www.mail2600.com/faq.htm#signup)for the particulars.

On the above mentioned page, click on "Position" to see the last reported position (auto refreshed continually to account for motion). Or click on "Last Track" to see what was flown recently along with a table of groundspeeds, courses, and altitudes. The "More..." selection lets you fine tune the date selection as well as some UI options for a less cluttered and faster display.

The usual Google map widgets apply as well as a "Zoom" box control in the lower left. There's an option to display all flights going back in time (position reports are currently archived for a year). One caveat: the Javascript to display the Google map may "bring your computer to its knees" for a bit -- don't be alarmed.

Best Regards (73),
Joe, K7JD
