First Flight 6/22/05: RV-9A Stan Peternel

Well it finnaly happened June 22nd. The FAA signed me off and and a
few Hrs. later #90967 RV9A N358PS took to the air.....Almost one year
to the day... It flys like a dream with no trim required, and she
performed flawlessly. The Mattituck engine combined with Lycon
pistons, Light Speed ignition, and Hartzell Prop make an unbelievable
combination. For those of you out there building a 9A, go for
it .....don't give up.....You will have the best plane in the
world....If you live in Ca, Az, Or, Nv, I will come to you and let you
fly mine....I got to fly 2 before finishing mine, and boy did it speed
up my building process..... Thank You Van for a great
airplane.......See ya at Oskosh...
