Sliding Canopy Drawing #41 Question

In section 3E of Drawing 41, there is a curved, oval-shaped object on the side view of the C-657 sliding canopy track. Is this supposed to indicate the area that might have to be beveled to get the aft end of the C-657 to be flush with the fuselage side?

Thank you,

Mark

slider track

When you get the track in place, you will see a very small amount of the rounded part hanging over past the side,1/2 inch maybe, you grind off that little bit (V SHAPE) to allow the side skirt to pass while it slides very close to the side of the fuse, I made mine to plans but didn't need that much after all was said and done.. (9A) anyway those are hidden behind the side skirts so it won't show from the outside anyway.. I just got done with the west system epoxy, and the meske tip up canopy..

Good luck, I will be glad when this part is done. I will finnish sand the epoxy smooth and put it on the gear next.. also use good packing tape and wax
when laying up the glass to cover the aft canopy, mine was difficult to
open after drying.. but it turned out really well..

headway..

Danny......
