Last Saturday we got fed up with all the rain and loaded our RV7a?s and flew to West Yellowstone, Montana for the weekend. Naturally the weather tried to keep us in Tx, but we flew west to Abilene to get around the stationary front before proceeding to Borger for fuel. After a short stop, we were on the way to Greeley, Co in clear weather for another fuel stop. The last leg of the day was up to West Yellowstone, Montana. There is a beautiful pilot camp ground off the north end of the ramp in the pine trees. Free bicycles are available at the campground as well as amazing hot showers with a view of the sky. There is an Italian restaurant in the terminal and rental cars are available. Twelve hundred nautical miles in one day. These RVs sure are traveling machines.

After a very nice weekend, we took off on Monday for Johnson Creek, Idaho. The scenery was incredible across the mountains. Tuesday morning we made a food and drink flight over to McCall. Our RV7a?s were parked in front of the Johnson Creek web cam until we left Friday AM. We have demonstrated that the RVs can haul our camping gear that added up to 100 pounds. Our tents were pitched on the banks of the creek. Between the hammocks and the local wine, we have already enjoyed a nap or two. Several other wandering pilots have come by to admire our airplanes, but who could blame them. It?s hard to be humble when you are BCs flying RVs.

Friday morning we flew out of Johnson Creek for Driggs, Idaho where we plan on spending the weekend hiking in the Tetons. Hopefully it will quit raining in Tx so we can get home early next week.
