Removing Fuel Lube from Gaskets

Any recommendations for a solvent/cleaner that will remove fuel lube (EZ Turn) without damaging gasket material? More specifically, I'm wondering about the fuel cap gaskets.

I haven't found anything that will "cut" it.

I'll be watching this thread to see if anyone has.

Just wiping it off with lint free rags is what I do when I need to remove it from something, and this doesn't work real well.

It's made out of kryptonite cream I think.

well...

There may have been some dirt, aluminum shavings, dead bugs, and some other stuff I have yet to identify that made their way on there when I wasn't looking... ok, maybe it happened when it rolled across the floor and behind the tool chest... details! :eek:
 
I dont have any fuel lube around to try, but I would guess a tricloroethane solvent (Valco 184, printer ink solvent, etc) would work. Not much it wont disolve. Or perhaps if it is silicone based lube, a silocone solvent (try an automotive paint store) would work.
