Fuel Injection Help in SW FLa

southtarnation

Well Known Member
I have a friend with a rv-4 in phase one with about 6 hrs on it at KPGD. He needs someone to trouble shoot his FI. The local A/P wont work on experimental.

The -4 has a 200hp io-360. He has had the lines pressure checked and mech. fuel pump replaced. He and his dad built the plane and the motor is from a mooney that had a forced landing due to "a fuel issue".

You can respond by pm and ill forward you his info or yours to him.
or email him direct at [email protected]

we realize there is an active local eaa chapter on the field but he is out of town and trying to make contact asap.

He is willing to pay for the service, its not a favor.

Regards,
Jesse

Why not pull the fuel injection system off the engine and send to Air Flow Performace? From what you said, you have a know problem and have done little to resolve it.

Recommend you ground the plane until you talk to Don at Air Flow Performance.

Did he check with LPC aviation on the field. Also the former A1 aviation mechanics are still floating around the field, I can get their phone number if needed. JB engines in Sebring is another source. Jimmy is very knowlegeable and might be willing to drive to the airport if the plane is AOG.
