I hope some primers based on this method gets commercially available soon. No toxic hexavalent chrome or other dangerous stuff, just pure (active) aluminium. Developed by the US Navy, and tests so far shows it is superior to pigments based on hexavalent chrome.

It's actually 100 year old technology, only the aluminum pigments are active (contains no oxidation layer).
