Angle-of-attack flap switch

Hello group,

We have a AOA sport from AFS. Does anyone have info/pictures/links/drawings on how they installed the flap microswitch which tells the AOA you are in landing configuration?

Any info is appreciated,

Rene,
Sorry, but no photos...
I took two pieces of aluminum angle about an inch long and riveted them together to form a "C". I then bolted the flap sensor switch to the "C". I retracted the flaps all the way, then bonded the "C" to the fuselage side wall with JB Weld so that the switch was in the closed position with the flap actuator holding the switch closed. I taped it in position while the epoxy cured.

Thanks, I get the picture. AFS says the switch should be closed form 1/3 to full flaps. How do you compensate for the movement between zero flaps and 1/3? Am I making things to complicated?

Good question. I did not set mine up this way. My system thinks that once the circuit is broken, the flaps are deployed.

A slightly different approach by Scott Card that is easily adjustable:
